The goal behind this project was to rebrand a restaurant's visual identity. The restaurant needed a new logo along with business cards and menus that are consistent with the brand. All designs would be modern and simple while appealing to young professionals around the area who often come to eat at the facility.
The existing logo is a bit dated and is difficult to understand. Saigon (official name known as Ho Chi Minh city or HCM city) is the centre of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. It is also known as the pearl of the far east, that is why the pearl is represented in the logo. The purpose of the new identity is to attract more customers with an updated and modern design.
My design solution for this project was to use a cleaner typeface and a consistent color palette throughout the brand. The existing site was not mobile friendly or cohesive. Since the target audience was aimed at young professionals, having a responsive website was definitely a must. A lot of people use their phones today to look up new places to eat. I made the site simple and easy to navigate through while maintaining the restaurants brand to bring everything together.
